What type of Chapters are there?
Colorado FCRV offers a range of chapters from Adult Only Chapters that camp on the weekend, Retiree Chapters that camp during the week, and Mixed Age Chapters that is a combination of Families, Children, Adults, and Retirees that camp on the weekend.
Do I have to attend every campout or activity?
No, you can pick and choose which campouts or activities that you want to participate in. Chapters usually have a minimum requirement that you attend anywhere from one to three campouts or activities each year.
How often do chapters camp?
Most chapters camp once a month during the camping season. During non-camping months chapters participate in other activities, such as going out to eat, having a potluck, taking a tour, going bowling, watching the superbowl together. Every chapter is unique in what they plan for the year.
How are campouts and outings planned?
Individual chapters get together towards the end of each year and have a planning meeting to decide on campouts and activities as a group.
Can I join more than one chapter?
You can join as many chapters as you want. Colorado FCRV has many members that belong to two or more chapters.
Are there any dues?
National Dues are:
1 YEAR + 6 MONTHS FREE - $35.00
2 YEARS + 6 MONTHS FREE - $68.00
3 YEARS + 6 MONTHS FREE - $99.00
In addition some chapters have dues.
